What will you study?

The classes at a folk school usually fall into three categories: major subjects, electives and required classes. Some of the major subjects offered include design, peace and conflict resolution, photography, theater, outdoor life, ceramics, weaving, skiing, instrumental music, jazz or African dance, photography, illustration, and boat building to name just a few. Some folk schools specialize in one or a few major subjects, whild others offer a wide range, but most schools ask you to choose one major subject and a few electives.
